Genna Hurd has been with the Institute since September of 1988.

B.S.B., Bachelor of Science in Business, with Distinction, Business and Biology, School of Business, the University of Kansas, 1979.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manages the EDA-funded KU University Center activities at IPSR, which includes working with the Center for Entrepreneurship in the School of Business to develop and enhance the Center
• Conducts quantitative and qualitative research on IPSR projects, which includes research project management, program evaluation, focus group facilitation, interviews, survey development and analysis, data collection, management, and analysis, and report writing
• Editor of the Kansas Statistical Abstract, an online compendium of socio-economic and demographic data on Kansas
• Works on CSTEP public policy and research projects, including the annual Kansas Economic Policy Conference
