Throughout this semester in landscape painting I have gotten to experience nature in a way that just being outside in nature was not the same as going out to look at it. Getting to sit and look at the sky, the major changes in light and movement that happens in a few hours is a new way to look at nature, how the lighting effects the way our eyes perceive is unfathomable beauty. Already having an interest in landscape painting and nature being a big inspiration for my art, in all mediums, this experience has given me opportunity to go and try new techniques and different styles on the field and let me have freedom with my work. These trial and errors of style and process are important in my artistic career right now, being a senior and trying to find my voice through my art in the next few years.
