Title: Snow Hall Artist: Hughes, Langston Height: 0.000" Width: 0.000" Snow Hall, University of Kansas (1886) This building, dedicated in 1886, was razed in 1934. This was the biological science building, as it appeared about 1895 (photo by E.S. Tucker). Today, the new Snow Hall, built in 1930, houses the mathematics department. Langston Hughes recalled watching medical students work with cadavers at K.U. He sneaked into the dissection room, and the young college students allowed him to stay (Rampersad V.1, 14). This is the building where anatomy and other training for medical students occurred. |
