Two KU students presented at the Michigan State University Graduate Migration Conference: Migration With(out) Boundaries in Lansing, Michigan - October 21-22, 2016. Both students were on the panel, "Gender, Vulnerability, and Marginality" chaired by Adrienne Tyrey with Dr. Amanda Flaim as discussant. Amber Beasley, Graduate Student in Global and International Studies presented her paper entitled, "New, Nation, New Voice: The Advent of Female Refugee Resettlement Programs" and Jennifer Chappell Deckert (second from left), Graduate Student in Social Welfare presented, "Midwestern Service Provider Narratives of Migrant Experiences: Legibility, Vulnerability, and Exploitation in Human Trafficking." Both KU students are also WGSS certificate students.
